At Norgan Technology, we respect your data, your privacy, and your agency. Our approach is simple: we only handle what is necessary to complete the work you have requested.

1. Use of Personal Data

We do not use, sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to any third party for marketing or unrelated purposes.

Any personal information provided is used strictly for:

  • Managing your booking or repair
  • Communicating with you about your job
  • Delivering the requested service

2. Access to Customer Data

We do not access, view, or inspect personal data stored on your device unless it is strictly necessary to diagnose or resolve a reported issue.

Examples where access may be necessary include:

  • Verifying a fault (e.g. a file that won’t open)
  • Testing functionality after repair (e.g. confirming system or application behaviour)

Where access is required:

  • We limit access to the minimum scope necessary
  • We do not copy, retain, or share that data beyond what is required to complete the task

3. Data Minimisation & Handling

We aim to reduce exposure at every stage:

  • Wherever possible, testing is performed using non-personal or synthetic data
  • Customer data is not retained after completion unless explicitly required and agreed
  • Any temporary data created during diagnostics is removed once no longer needed

4. Customer Responsibility

Customers are strongly encouraged to:

  • Back up all important data before submitting a device
  • Remove or secure sensitive information where possible

While all reasonable care is taken, data access and data loss are inherent risks in repair and diagnostic work, especially where storage or operating systems are involved.


5. Donated or Abandoned Hardware

For any hardware that is:

  • Donated, or
  • Left uncollected beyond agreed timeframes

The following applies:

  • Devices may be repurposed, salvaged, or disposed of
  • Storage media may be securely wiped or physically destroyed
  • Any remaining data will be treated as abandoned, and no responsibility is accepted for its retention or recovery

If data recovery is required, this must be requested before ownership is relinquished.


6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and procedural measures to protect devices and data while in our care. However, no system is completely risk-free, and by engaging our services you acknowledge this.


7. Agreement

By submitting a device or engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to this data handling approach.
