Hours of work, paid parts, going above and beyond — all at zero charge. What thanks do I get?
I’m happy to do cheap repairs and take on difficult jobs, but give me a break. I can’t fix everything.
I also want to remind people what Norgan Technology actually is.
I’m autistic, I have ADHD and PTSD, and I run this little business while on a disability pension, with some help from my supports. Those disabilities aren’t a marketing story. They’re part of the reality of dealing with me and running this business.
That means my capacity isn’t always consistent. Sometimes jobs take longer than expected. Sometimes parts take weeks to arrive from China. Sometimes personal circumstances or disability affect how quickly I can get through the work in front of me.
If you’re going to bring something to me, I need you to factor that in.
In return, I’ll give your repair the best of my current ability. I’ll spend time investigating things other repairers may simply write off. I’ll try to keep costs down. And if I can’t fix it, you don’t get charged, including, sometimes, when I’ve already spent my own money on parts.
I’m not a corporate repair centre. I’m one disabled bloke with a workshop, decades of technical experience, a lot of curiosity, and a willingness to have a go.
Sometimes I’ll succeed. Sometimes I won’t.
I think that’s a pretty fair deal.
